Our partnership started in 2019 with Exponea, a growing scale-up that was acquired by Bloomreach in 2021. Exponea’s leading CDXP platform has since become the core Bloomreach product and is the no. 1 choice for 1000+ data-driven marketers, powering 250 million searches daily.
The Mission
Bloomreach’s customers gain intelligent and actionable insights through their analytical platform. Much of this wouldn’t be possible without reliable data collection mechanisms that Panaxeo implements into Bloomreach’s mobile SDKs. These are integrated into customers’ Android and iOS applications to collect real-time data and enable campaign features such as dynamic in-app messages.
Having started our partnership in mid-2019, Panaxeo engineers assess, redesign, and rebuild the data collection mSDKs to enable simple, fail-proof, and performant integration into any iOS or Android mobile application on the market. We started with 2 mobile SDKs and grew to 5 mSDKs (Android, iOS, React Native, Flutter, and MAUI).
During our cooperation, functional features such as the app inbox and multi-app/device support were added to data collection, turning Bloomreach mSDKs into all-in-one packages.
Bloomreach’s user base grew to 150 million monthly active users during our partnership.

By the end of our cooperation, Bloomreach reached 150M MAU. We gave their new internal team all we knew, saving them years of trial and error.
Key Improvements
The 2020 Fix
At the start of our cooperation, Bloomreach (then Exponea) was stuck putting out fires. Their MVP product hit a scaling wall. As SDK updates take months to roll out to every device, any bugs or crashes would pester users for months, often taking the app down with the SDK.
We resolved the immediate issue by building a safety net of silent SDK crashes. Exponea could then focus on proper scaling. And since mistakes in SDKs cost much more than their fixes, we introduced a battery of automated tests, just to be extra safe.
App Inbox
Why should push notifications and in-app messages disappear once dismissed? The app's inbox stores them for a set period. It’s all tracked, of course, and can be customized to your heart’s content.
In-app content blocks
One more way for Bloomreach’s customers to display their campaigns. The user can strategically place them where needed. Once set up, there is no further need for development involvement.
Rich Style native in-app messages
Later, we built an extensive editor with a wide range of customization options for creating and styling in-app messages and content blocks.
Real-time segments
The SDKs are not the only tool in Bloomreach’s arsenal. We connected them to their AI-powered search function.
This feature personalizes product, category, and pathway search results in real time based on customer demographic and behavioral data.
Stop SDK integration
To honor user privacy and comply with consent requirements, we implemented conditional SDK initialization. If the user opts out, the SDK is never started. If consent is later revoked, we immediately wipe all locally stored data, disable tracking, and halt all SDK activity.
The Handover
In 2025, Bloomreach decided to build an internal team to continue developing the mSDKs. We provided unlimited assistance:

All functionalities described in detail in written form,
Video tutorials explaining all intricacies (setting up the dev environment, pushing releases, etc.),
Full handover of the project’s engineering culture,
Direct cooperation and full onboarding of the new team.
The project can maintain the standards Bloomreach is used to and continue reaping success in the future.
